APPOINTMENTS

We have a mix of "Book in advance" appointments and "book on the day" appointments.

BOOK IN ADVANCE - You can generally book an appointment for up to 4 weeks forward of the date you are calling, subject to availability of the particular Clinician you might wish to see.

BOOK ON THE DAY - A number of appointment slots are kept each day for patients who phone (or walk into reception) needing an urgent appointment, but these appointments do tend to get booked very early each morning. You will be asked if our duty Doctor can give you a call to discuss your issue or you might wish to call again the next day.

bpAll our Clinics are run on a 10 minute appointment basis. You may book an appointment by telephone, on-line or by attending the reception desk at either surgery.

 

NON-ATTENDANCE

We ask that you make every effort to attend you appointment. Please phone at the earliest opportunity to cancel if you are unable to attend. This allows us to use that appointment time for another patient who may need urgent treatment.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS

If you need to speak to a Doctor/Nurse by phone rather than a face to face appointment, the Receptionist will pass your request on to the relevant Health Care Professional who will return your call.

CHOICE OF DOCTOR

Under the terms of the new Government Contract for Doctors we offer an advanced access policy whereby you will no longer be registered under one GP but to the Practice as a whole. All Doctors will run Clinics at both Surgeries on a rotating basis with one Doctor allocated to visits, again on a rotating basis. This may mean you have to await to see your doctor of choice but can usually be seen by one of the partners on the day in an emergency.
